Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.

Victory Parade Attracts Massive Crowds

Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.

Social media videos show countless of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.

The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Early Celebrations and Athlete Responses

Celebrations began well before the procession, with supporters setting off fireworks in the roads of the city center on Sunday night.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the victory.

“We refuse to lose,” he stated. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, Mark Walter received a cooler welcome at the rally. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his speech.

The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.

“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
